Not the best night for Ned but he's been great for most of the season so he gets a pass on the 2 weak goals he gave up.

Wings did battle back real quick to tie the game twice. Refs made some weak calls in this game.

I do think once some players start getting healthy and playing that maybe sending Zadina and Veleno down (at least for a couple of games) would not be a bad thing. They both need to score a bit to get their confidence up and the AHL would give them more minutes and more opportunity to do so.

Great work as always! but man how did they blow it tonight against a Dallas team that was visibly tired while the Wings were rested from the night before?

Remember when we sent Jurco and Pulkkinen down to gain some confidence? Didn't work.

Question, do you ever have anything positive to say. Or you that unhappy in your own life that you spend all your time on here ripping on anything you can find???

From day 1 I've been very happy with...

-hiring Yzerman
-drafting Seider
-Mantha trade. Even though Vrana was sort of like Helm
-Nedjelkovic trade
-drafting Cossa
-recognized that Raymond is a good prospect, even though I don't think that's the player we should have drafted and don't think he's close to being the best rookie this year
-oh remember when we signed Erne and people here went crazy calling him Abby 2.0 and he was just blocking the budding careers of Turgeon and Hirose. I was practically alone in saying Erne was a legit bottom 6 NHL forward who then led the team in goals that year. Such a negative guy...

But sorry I don't support every single thing that you do.

Your missing my point. You don't mention these things, just constantly ripping on and tearing people down. Pretty sure I speak for most when I say we use Hockey as an escape from the crap world we live in now. So your constant negative feedback is a bit of a downer. But why am I wasting my time, your just going to come back with your usual crap. So thats the end for me. Have a great day . . .

Wings played well enough to win this game and should have this loss is totally on the goalie. Yes it is a team game but each group forward, defence and goalies should be called out when they outright stink

Jurco produced when he was sent down but just wasn't good enough for the NHL and now is in the KHL. Pulkkinen also couldn't make it in the NHL and is in the KHL now.

Just because it didn't work with those 2, doesn't mean it can't work with other players. Offensive players need confidence and scoring a few goals in the AHL might give them some. It's also possible that neither are going to be good NHL players and might end up in Europe but they still have time to change that. I don't think sending them down for a couple of games is going to hurt them.

Clearly it would be better if they could gain that confidence in the NHL by scoring more but it doesn't seem to be happening right now. Not a lot of scoring at all from the bottom 6 either. Zadina is getting some 2nd PP time but Veleno isn't.

So you want me to keep mentioning these things. So keep reminding people how I was right about this or that? Then someone will say to shut it or the classic accusation of hindsight even though these were all expressed in real time. Ok. I'll do that...

I feel confident that Ned can bounce back. The king of allowing weak goals is Koskinen.

No actually we want you to get rid of your snarky, arrogant, condescending, "I'm so right about everything attitude". Good grief... you have a special talent to annoy everyone on this blog. You come across like a 5 year old when trying to make a point.

Like you've been told before... it's not your opinions, it's your attitude that gets negative reactions from people.

I agree with you here. In all the years I've been following the Wings and going to Griffins games in GR I've seen it make a positive difference with some (not all) of the rookies who hit a wall or can't seem to get on track in Detroit. Most recently with Rasmussen. When he got sent down last time he was told what he needed to work on (his skating being the main thing). He improved that and also his faceoff % which was at 50% last I saw. He also seems better at driving to the net with the puck for scoring chances. His overall game has improved. Not everyone likes him... but he's been able to make enough progress to get back in the lineup in Detroit. I just wish he'd plant his big body in front of the other team's goalie more often... he's huge and hard to move. He's still young... so we'll see what happens.
